Anne,This is a very pretty Pansy. I love Pansies. Thanks for all the comments, you are a dear. Have a good day. Are weather daily is bad. The Mississippi is overflowing it's banks in some state. Hugs,Marsh ! FV

Dear Marsh, I'm sorry about the bad weather there. We are lucky that we haven't had flooding or other weather-related problems. I'm glad you like my purple pansy. This was one of the first color pencil works that I had done It was not that hard to do and i'm looking forward to doing more. At least colored pencils are not as "messy" as acrylic paint. Smile.

This is very beautiful, Anne-Elizabeth. A lovely rendering indeed. f/v

Thanks dear HEIDI. I'm glad you appreciate this colored pencil piece. It was fun to do, and as I mentioned, not as messy as working with acrylics or other paint. (I really get into it when I'm painting and don't care if i get paint all over the place. LOL.)

Thank you Geoff, I did this a few years ago. I would like to do more of this type of drawing/sketching again with colour pencils.*. It is so easy for me to do and I don't get paint all over the my clothes, the walls, the ceiling, and my nose. .LOL. See, I want to be more like a Britisher - I am spelling "colour" the way you guys do, with the letter "u".

Hi Ann, Thank you for your thoughtful comments on my work, your work is wonderful, creative and fun! I like your Kokopeli paintings, and your landscapes are gorgeous! Many of the artists here at FAA inspire me; your works are no exception to this! You too have a new fan!! Very nice to meet you! Jean

Hi Anne, if this is your first attempt on coloured pencils then you are really good with them! Great that the texture came out so well, even when it's done on writing paper, it looks like pointilism. I like the colours very much, pansies are sweet flowers, I've got them on my balcony always. :)

Thank you! This was done on plain white writing paper. This is the first colored pencil drawing I can remember attempting. Glad you like.

Beautiful art. I like the unblended pencil strokes.

What kind of paper are you drawing on? The texture really looks like cloth or canvas, very effective, as is your skillful smooth blending.
